Thank you for stating the obvious - and it seems that SAG is starting to listen.  Doug Allen&#039;s on again/off again &#039;firing&#039; after 30+ hours of negotiating certainly suggests that the SAG board is not gung ho about striking - and the fact that they didn&#039;t schedule a strike is a very hopeful sign.  IMHO, now it&#039;s all about Alan Rosenberg saving face after over-promising and under-delivering.

Should SAG suffer another attack of the stupids, I firmly believe they run a real risk of destroying their own union since producers will be more than happy to sign AFTRA contracts - and in the age of digital acquisition, this applies to features as well as television.

And Leno&#039;s move to 10pm is certainly not good news for actors - or the below the line crowd - 5 fewer drama hours a week can only hurt.  Let&#039;s hope cable takes up the slack.
